| New Jersey business school joins presidential entrepreneurship initiative |

Rutgers Business School has recently announced that it has been selected to take part in the Obama institution's new public-private partnership program. This initiative is intended to support the growth of new urban entrepreneurs while also assisting current entrepreneurs in their work endeavors.
The Center for Urban Entrepreneurship and Economic Development at Rutgers University - which is run out of the business school - has been matched up with the White House Business Council, the Office of Public Engagement and the Domestic Policy Council. Other institutions and organizations - such as Startup America, the Minority Business Development Agency and the Department of Housing and Urban Development - will join in this partnership as well. Russell Simmons and Cory Booker, the mayor of Newark, will also be involved.
The groups who will take part in this initiative met on Monday, June 6, at the Rutgers University campus in Newark, New Jersey. Several distinguished guests spoke at this day-long summit and participated in panels that discussed how urban entrepreneurship can be strengthened through these partnerships. |
