| Graduate of USC business schools receives CFO designation |

Sunstone Hotel Investors recently announced that John Arabia will become the company's next chief financial officer (CFO) in April.
Arabia, who earned his MBA degree from the University of Southern California (USC) Marshall School of Business, will also serve as the organization's executive vice president of corporate strategy. Sunstone Hotel Investors is a lodging real estate investment trust company that owns 32 hotels.
Arabia currently serves as the managing director of the real estate research team at Green Street Advisors, a research and consulting firm. Under his leadership, the company was named the Best Independent Research Firm - in the lodging and gaming sector - in 2005, 2006 and 2007 by the magazine Institutional Investor.
"As a highly regarded industry leader with over 20 years of lodging industry experience, John will be a key member of our already deep and talented team," said Ken Cruse, president of Sunstone.
Prior to enrolling in the MBA program at USC, Arabia earned his bachelor's degree in hotel administration from Cornell University.
According to PayScale.com, CFOs who hold MBA degrees earn an average base salary between $94,062 and $164,771 per year. |
