OGRE Systems, a company that provides oil and gas economic software, has named Kirk Hanes its new president and CEO.
Hanes, who earned his executive MBA degree from Southern Methodist University's (SMU) Cox School of Business, previously served as CEO of Federation Software. Earlier in his career, he was the senior vice president of sales at Munro Garrett Computing and worked in leadership roles with IHS, Zenodata and SOFT Engineering.
"His proven track record in growing technology companies, combined with an emphasis on customer service, will be the key assets to compounding the success of our business," said Du Xia, president of APEX Solutions, the parent company of OGRE.
Hanes said that he plans on opening additional OGRE offices overseas and hiring more sales and service professionals in the Dallas and Houston locations. Prior to pursuing his MBA degree at SMU, Hanes earned a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from Kansas University.
According to PayScale.com, CEOs make between $96,922 and $216,193 per year for a base salary. They also earn up to $80,000 per year in bonuses. |
