The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) has issued a reminder to all eligible students that scholarships and fellowships are available through the organization. The NSHMBA has established partnerships with 60 different institutions in order to provide grants to MBAdegree candidates of Hispanic origin. It recently announced that is has added the Opus School of Business at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota and the Andrea School of Business at Barry University in Florida to this list.
NSHMBA was created in 1988 with the purpose of increasing the number of Hispanics who graduate from MBA degree programs at business schools throughout the U.S. and enhancing career opportunities for these individuals. The organization serves as the "clearing house" for Hispanic executive talent, according to its website, and has recruited more than 50 percent of Hispanic MBAs into its program.
NSHMBA holds a national conference and a Hispanic summit each year. The 22nd annual career expo will be held from October 13 to 15. A large number of business corporations and financial companies will be in attendance, which will allow members of NSHMBA to network and capitalize on career opportunities.
