Individuals who wish to enhance their management skill set - and, potentially, their MBA salary - may want to consider enrolling in certificate programs. Some new offerings in fields such as conflict resolution may help enrollees cultivate stronger teams.
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is one of the schools of management that is increasing its courses in this field, as administrators recently announced the launch of a new certificate program.
Individuals who enroll in the new business conflict management certificate program will learn how to encourage employees to effectively work together, and negotiate with difficult associates or vendors. This course of study is intended to benefit working students and MBA candidates, and consequently offers convenient scheduling options.
Students who choose to pursue similar certifications may learn about conflict in the workplace, policy and procedure design, supervisors' role in conflict management, workplace violence prevention and intervention, threat assessment strategies as well as crisis management.
These courses of study could lead to human resources management positions, which paid an average of $96,130 per year, according to 2008 data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. |
