A college located in Boston's suburbs has announced that it will offer a second wave of master of business administration (MBA) classes in San Francisco next spring.
According to the Bay Citizen, Babson College is currently interviewing students for its Fast Track MBA courses that start in March. The program is aimed toward those young professionals who can't afford to leave their jobs but still want to earn their MBA.
The classes combine campus-based classes - taught by full-time Babson faculty - and online distance learning. First-year students in the Fast Track program will travel to Babson's campus for a five-day business boot camp.
Raghu Tadepalli, the dean of Babson's Boston-based business school, said the San Francisco courses are designed to match the West Coast's entrepreneurial culture.
"If the Boston program was going at 60 miles per hour, San Francisco is going at 90," he told the news source. "The students’ expectations are just that different."
Babson is renowned for churning out successful businesspeople. BusinessWeek.com recently revealed that two Babson seniors were finalists for the publication's sixth annual search for America's most talented young entrepreneurs.
